SlipFix Australia is led by Nick Horrell, a specialist anti-slip surface treatment technician with hands-on experience across residential, commercial and industrial properties throughout New South Wales and the ACT.
Nick founded SlipFix to provide building owners, strata managers, aged care operators and certifiers with a reliable, compliant solution when floors fail — or risk failing — a slip resistance assessment. Every job is treated personally, with documentation provided on completion.
We treat tiles, concrete, stone, pool surrounds, stairs, ramps and more — using proven chemical treatment processes that work at the microscopic level to increase traction without affecting the appearance of your surface.
What We Do
Anti-slip treatment is a precision process. Our technicians assess each surface individually, confirm suitability, and apply the appropriate treatment to achieve the required improvement in P rating under AS 4586 and AS 4663.
Unlike anti-slip coatings or tapes, our chemical treatments bond with the surface at a molecular level — they don't peel, flake or change how your floor looks or feels to the touch.
Independent NATA-Accredited Testing
SlipFix strongly recommends independent NATA-accredited slip resistance testing both before and after any treatment program. Independent testing — conducted by a laboratory with no commercial interest in the treatment outcome — gives you, your insurer, and your certifier complete confidence in the results.
The benefits of independent testing:
- Pre-treatment testing confirms exactly which surfaces need treatment and to what standard
- Post-treatment testing provides certified documentation that your surfaces now meet AS 4586 and AS 4663 requirements
- NATA-accredited results (ISO/IEC 17025) are accepted by insurers, certifiers and courts
- Keeping testing and treatment independent eliminates any conflict of interest in the compliance process

Our Guarantee
Every SlipFix treatment is backed by a 12-month guarantee. If your treated surface fails a slip resistance retest within 12 months of treatment, we retreat the affected area at no charge.
Compliance
All SlipFix treatments are designed to bring surfaces into compliance with:
- AS 4586 — Slip resistance classification of new pedestrian surface materials
- AS 4663 — Slip resistance measurement of existing pedestrian surfaces
- NCC (National Construction Code) requirements
- HB 197 and HB 198 guidance documents
We provide written documentation confirming treatment applied and the expected improvement in P rating — suitable for NCC handover, insurance and legal compliance purposes.
